In Watford

This morning, Dean Russell, the Member of Parliament for Watford, hosted the Foreign Secretary, along with his wife, for an interfaith roundtable discussion in Watford.

I have opposed the ULEZ expansion from the outset, and have met with Government Ministers, penned a joint letter to the Labour Mayor of London with colleagues and spoken out about it in Parliament on a number of occasions.

The Attorney General, Victoria Prentis, spoke with representatives from Citizens Advice, Watford Women's Centre Plus and The Women's Lawyer to address important issues such as access to legal advice for the vulnerable and the importance of community support services.

A new exciting project was being organised for a number of months, culminating in the inaugural SRMD London Youth Festival! This two-day extravaganza took place this weekend, from 22nd to 23rd July, at Merchant Taylors' School in Northwood.

Dean Russell MP spent time on the road with RSPCA inspector Nick Jonas as they responded to a series of animal cruelty complaints and reports in and around the Watford constituency. 

Watford continues to lead the way in maintaining exceptional green spaces as seventeen parks and open areas in our town have once again been awarded the prestigious Green Flag Award.

Dean Russell attended the 25th Anniversary of the Watford Chinese Community School. The event took place at the James Theatre, located at Watford Boys Grammar, where the school has been providing invaluable educational and cultural opportunities to the community.

Students from Watford Boys School recently visited the heart of British democracy – our Parliament. The pupils met with Dean for a Question and Answer Session and then spent time in the Gallery.

Dean Russell was pleased to attend the Watford Interfaith Association Celebration to commemorate the 10th anniversary of the Peace Garden.

Coates Way Primary School in Watford planned their annual Summer Fete with meticulous planning! This popular fete brought together the local community for a day filled with laughter, entertainment, and a strong sense of togetherness.
