Dean Russell was invited to speak about digital agility, leadership and collaborative working at NELFT, the mental health trust today. Dean shared his experiences advising government, business and the NHS on communications and digital to delve into the growing opportunities for supporting better mental health in society.
Dean added:
"It was great to meet #NELFT Chief Exec John Brouder & listen to his agile approach to leadership & collaborative working before delivering my lecture on creativity for leadership in the digital era.
There is no doubt in my mind that technology provides a lot of the answers we need for an increasingly complex and expansive health service. We have seen so many great advances in digital across every sector, and the opportunity to look at new approaches ranging from digital prescriptions, apps for health and connected devices, for improving the health of citizens is potentially huge. Of course, we need to balance this with ensuring this doesn't create a digital divide but with the right long-term strategy I am sure technology can provide opportunities for all."
