Dean Russell has invited all local secondary school pupils to submit a creative piece of work to reflect on their experience during lockdown and the impact that it had on their Mental Health.
As an advocate for Mental Health, Watford’s MP was acutely aware that the pandemic has had a huge impact on young people’s mental health and invited them to submit a piece of art to reflect their experience in the form of a poem, poster, painting, video, drawing, short story – whatever they want!
Dean Russell MP said: “It is really important that we encourage everybody to speak about their mental well-being, but I am aware that this can be difficult or uncomfortable for some people. But there are so many other ways in which people can express their thoughts, feelings and emotions and this should be encouraged. World Mental Health Day is an opportunity for us all to take check of our own mental health, and to be mindful of those around us.”
