Dean visited Camelot, a major employer based in Watford. Camelot has been the licensed operator of the National Lottery since 1994 and their Head Office has been based in Watford since then.
Over the last 25 years they have raised in excess of £40 billion for good causes across the country, and have returned more than £16.5 billion to the Exchequer in Lottery Duty. They have around 44,000 retailers across the UK in their sales network and they provided the largest sum from a single organisation to help put on the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games, over £2 billion.
Speaking after the event Dean said that “it was a pleasure to visit Camelot’s HQ and to learn more about how the National Lottery works. I look forward to working with Camelot very closely over the comings months and years.”
